Punjab residents hit hard by gas outages

Daily The News, ISLAMABAD: Coinciding with 3-6 hour-long power loadshedding all over the country except Karachi, gas loadshedding has also badly hit the Punjab residents, though domestic consumers are exempted from gas outages under the gas load management plan.
77% car owners in Pakistan use CNG as fuel
Daily The News, ISLAMABAD: (29 Dec 2010)More than three fourth of all Pakistani car owners (77%) claim that they use CNG as fuel and 81% of them claim that they are facing problems with regard to its supply, a survey conducted by Gilani Research Foundation-Gallup Pakistan says.
Gas cut to CNG sector: APCNGA stages sit-in b
Islamabad (January 05, 2011) : All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration and sit-in against the prolonged gas load-shedding in front of the parliament house here on Tuesday. The protest rally and sit-in was attended by 1,000 owners of CNG stations from across the country. Chairman APCNGA Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha led the protest attended by CNG association other members including central chairman Junaid Ismail Makda, chairman Punjab chapter Fiaz Gilani, Captain(Retd) Shuja Anwar, chairman Baluchistan chapter brigadier Iftikhar (Retd) and others.
PM PLEDGES TO RESOLVE THE GAS CRISIS
Daily The Nation, Islamabad- Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani during meeting with All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has promised to convene a meeting on upcoming Tuesday to resolve the issue of gas load shedding. He also promised to address the concerns of APCNGA with regard to increased gas tariffs. A delegation APCNGA led by Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha on Thursday met Prime Minister Gilani to seek his intervention to resolve core issues of the sector.

All Pakistan CNG Association has been working since 1995. Previously it was known as the CNG Advisory Council. In 2001, with the consent of all members of the Association it was unanimously decided that in future the new name of the Advisory Council should be the “All Pakistan CNG Association”. All Pakistan CNG Association was incorporated under the Companies Trade Ordinance, 1984 as a Public Limited Company on September 01, 2005. The Registered Office of the Association is located in Rawalpindi, at 1056-D, Satellite Town, Hyderi Chowk, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The Association has six (6) Regions, which are Pothohar (Islamabad/Rawalpindi), Sindh, Punjab, NWFP, Hazara, and Baluchistan Regions. (more )
